SOFT BANKING SYSTEM [Integrated Banking System]
Soft Banking System, SBS is an integrated on-line banking system. It is a multi-user system, which runs on Novel, Window NT and other popular networks. SBS is built in windows GUI environment and it is highly user friendly and easy to operate. SBS is highly parameterized.

  • Double Entry Book Keeping System
        SBS follows Standard Double Entry Book Keeping System.

     
  • Integrated Banking System
        SBS is an Integrated Banking System. The entire module saving deposit, term (fixed)
        deposit, Loan are tightly integrated to the core module. Any transaction in any module
        is reflected in the core module and the corresponding voucher sets are automatically
        generated. Hence, there is no need to draw voucher sets manually.

     
  • Parameterized Operation
            SBS design makes extensive use of parameterization. This makes the software flexible,
        maintainable, upgradeable and efficient. The parameters extends to

        a. Module/Product Level Parameter
            Interest Calculation Parameters (Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, Half-yearly, Yearly)
            Tax Calculation Parameters
            Interest Rate Setup Parameter (Global, Individual, Group, A/C type wise)
            Balance Transfer Parameter
            Interest Calculation on Balance based on Current, Minimum etc.

         b. Transaction Level Parameter
             User define Voucher Setup Parameter
             Transaction type parameter etc.

     
  • Interest Handling
            Interest function can be activated at a/c head level or a/c sub-head level and interest
        function is highly parameterized. System automatic calculates and post interest. Also,
        provisional interest can be calculated.

     
  • Signature Presentation System
        SBS integrates Signature Presentation with the front office function. Sign-View,
        signature of customers can be stored and presented to the teller on their terminals.
        Also sign album, the signature of Personnel of the company can be stored along with
        other relevant details and displayed on the terminal for instant verification.

     
  • Client Information File
        SBS keeps and track client information such that the total exposure of the client can be
        viewed against the client approved limits.

     
  • Portability to Different Hardware and Operating System Platform
        SBS run on windows environment. Hence it inherits all the functionality of Windows. It
        is portable to wide varieties of PCs ranging from Pentium I to Pentium II
     
  • Account Statements in Devanagari
        SBS offers optional facility to generated Account Statements also in Devanagari Font.

     
  • Multi-User Environment
        SBS is truly a multi-user and multitasking product. It operates both on Novel Netware
        as well as Windows NT.

     
  • RDMS Portability
        SBS is based on a RDBMS. It is developed in Microsoft Visual FoxPro as language
        interface to RDBMS. If company has very high voluminous transaction, it can optionally
        use a very powerful RDMS like ORACLE, SQL server at the backend.

     
  • Single Window Operation
        SBS offers true single window operations. Any transaction can be carried out at any
        terminals. Thus customers need not to rush from window to window to carry out
        different transactions. Transaction/Operations to be made available at particular
        terminals can be defined as and when required.

     
  • On-Line Operations
        SBS is an on line transaction processing system with facilities for on line query
        processing (A/C balance, temporary statements etc.) and on line balance updating of
        accounts.

     
  • Transaction Authorization System
        SBS is built with paradigm on maker-checker. Each and every transaction has to be
        authorized by senior staff after checking the tranaction. Unless the transaction is
        authorized, it has no effects.

     
  • NRB Reports
        SBS generate all the necessary financial reports and MIS reports. It also generates all
        the reports acquired by NRB.

     
  • Customized Printing
        Cheques, voucher, draft, FDR can be printed as per the required format. It offers tool
        for customizing the output by the user themselves.

     
  • Monitoring of System Usage
       It provides current status information of the entire terminal such as who is logon to the
       system from which station, its logon time, logout time etc. access to the SBS can be
       blocked by the supervisor/System Administrator to the specific user or specific station
       every transaction is stamped with the username, Terminal ID, Date and Time and
       Sequence number.

     
  • Multi-layer security features
        Each SBS user needs a user profile to access the System. This profile is added and
        maintained through the Security Management Module. The profile defines the user’s
        access rights at different layers.

        - User-wise access control
        - GL level access control
        - Audit trail
